I'd designed a cloth doll and wanted to see if the pattern could be adapted to another medium. The pattern piece was traced onto cardstock and a wire and wood armature was added. The body shape was built up with styrofoam, numerous layers of Celluclay® and finished with Creative Paperclay®. After painting and antiquing, petals salvaged from bags of potpourri were decoupaged onto the body. The hair is dyed mohair and the hat is made from items found in the potpourri. There were so many other items that I tried to add to this doll but they just didn't work. In the end, I ripped them all off and simply added more petals.
