"Fairies. The very word conjures up visions of enchantment and magic, of graceful, tiny winged figures who soared through the stories and dreams of our childhood." This ethereal beauty sits perched on a branch, ready to work her charms or mischief on some unsuspecting creature.

Media: entire figure sculpted of Super Sculpey over a wire armature. Red mohair, stiff with hairspray to make it look "windswept". Wearing "dress" of blue flower petals and stamens, and ostrich feathers. Wired wings of painted pale blue organdy. Seated on a driftwood stump with bracket fungus.
