Fantasy Wings
Jean Bernard (CDAA)
Reno, Nevada, U.S.A. • www.bernard-dolls.com

Thursday, April 27, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

In this one-day workshop students created one-of-a-kind, whimsical, fantasy wings suitable for butterflies, fairies, dragons, and sprites … anything that flies! They learned fabric application and how to work with Aves Apoxie® Sculpt, that amazing product introduced by Jean for “Celebration!” 2005. They played with wonderful faux finishes and learned Jean’s unique painting techniques, including washes, highlighting and yummy glitter applications.

Art has been Jean Bernard’s passion since childhood but she only began sculpting “Art Dolls” in the mid-90’s and is now a full time polymer clay artist who loves to share her creativity and expertise with others in the art doll field. Jean introduced our 2005 students to the wonders of Aves Apoxie® Sculpt … to their absolute delight! Jean believes in giving her students the “tools” and turning them loose to follow their own vision and creative process. She treasures her time spent with fellow artists at conferences, conventions and shows. Jean’s work has been featured in many publications.
