Adventurous Dolls
Dayle Doroshow
Fort Bragg, CA. USA • www.dayledoroshow.com

Friday, April 28 - Saturday, April 29, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

In this two-day workshop students explored the varied and exciting art of dolls made with mixed media. Under Dayle’s guidance they created figures of polymer clay, textiles, paper, found objects and personal treasures. They started with easy ways to generate ideas using inspiration from ancient cultures and whimsical collages, then created heads and masks of clay wildly embellished with wire, beads and fibres.

Dayle Doroshow, an outstanding polymer clay artist, trained in traditional ceramics in NYC and sold her pottery in Greenwich Village. Today she is at the cutting edge of innovative polymer clay art and her jewellery, home décor items, spirit and art dolls, and handcrafted books can be found at galleries and art shows all along the west coast. Dayle has a busy teaching schedule, which includes the US, Canada, Mexico and France. She loves sharing the creative spirit with others and students clamour to attend her classes.
