Celebration...All Wrapped Up
Sherry Goshon
Albion, Iowa, USA • www.picturetrail.com/innerchildslg

Friday, April 28 - Saturday, April 29, 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Sherry returned with a brand new class chocked full of a mix of techniques and media that only she can create. “Celebration” is a 20-inch beauty designed from the inside out. She boasts a full wire armature … wrapped, shaped and skinned. Her hands have articulated fingers and her feet are made of clay (paper, that is). Sherry showed students how to make the paper clay face using a press mold and how to expand that into a fully shaped head. “Celebration” was simply adorned with minimal clothing and maximum body painting and embellishment.

Sherry Goshon is a master doll artist in any medium. Although cloth is her first love, Sherry continues to experiment with different clays, sculpting techniques, “cloth over”, gourds, and rubber latex molding. Her creativity soared when she threw away other people’s patterns and rules and began designing and experimenting. Sherry has taught throughout the USA, Australia and Canada. She is past president of ODACA, is a seasoned judge, is well published, and has won numerous awards for her work.
