This was a technique workshop, focused on making a natural-looking cloth hand. In the workshop students were taught a unique hand armature and stuffing technique to make more natural looking, feminine cloth hands Arley Berryhill comes to doll making from studies in fashion history, design, costume and make-up, and a career in costuming and theatre. He has won several awards and has been published in magazines including Art Doll Quarterly. His beaded pieces have been shown in Seattle's art galleries. Arley lives in Las Vegas and works making and maintaining costumes for hotel shows. He takes great pleasure in teaching doll making and embellishment techniques. |
