Rosebud Sprite 16DW
Wendy Rinehart (CDAA) Scarborough, Ontario - www.artdollguild.net

Thursday, May 10 - 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Students learned to work with paper clay and create an 8 inch tall Rosebud Sprite in this 1 day class that is designed especially for the beginner. They learned how to adhere paper clay to a wire armature, solve cracking problems and perfect their sanding techniques. As well, Wendy demonstrated how to create simplified body shapes together with the technique of applying 3-dimensional vines prior to painting the doll. Wendy provided examples of different poses as well as samples which illustrated how versatile this medium is for making those hard to find accessories for creations such as swords, a wizard's staff, rocks, mushrooms, tree stumps, etc.
